Steven Durk serves as a director at Hightower Signature Wealth (formerly known as Frontier), based in the California Bay Area. He brings 17 years of financial services experience to the practice. Prior to joining Hightower Signature Wealth, Steven worked as a director of the income solutions team at Charles Schwab, conducting educational seminars on income investing strategies. Steven has capital markets experience working with active bond management and portfolio construction activities. He was recognized as a bond specialist, working with Northern California-based clients at Charles Schwab for multiple consecutive years.

Drawing on his background in institutional fixed income trading, Steven helps investors look at their portfolios through a different lens as retirement approaches. Rather than relying on standardized investment models, he focuses on preparing each client’s portfolio to support their unique income needs, risk considerations, and long-term objectives.

Steven is an active participant in his family life, including coaching his children’s soccer teams and serving in a leadership capacity for his daughter’s swim team. He recently began learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as an opportunity to grow mentally and physically while serving as a positive role model for his son, who is doing the same. Steven enjoys experiencing the outdoors and maintaining an active lifestyle, exploring nature with family and friends.

Steven graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in science in Financial Management from the University of Alabama in 2002. He was involved with numerous on-campus organizations during his tenure at Alabama, including the Capstone Investment Club.
