Richard joined Hightower Signature Wealth (formerly known as Frontier) in 1997 and is a principal and portfolio manager for the practice. He brings over 20 years of equity research and portfolio management experience to our clients and is one of three voting members of the investment committee. Richard was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2002 and is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst® Institute and the Chartered Financial Analyst® Society of Dallas-Fort Worth.

Richard received a bachelor’s degree in arts in Government from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University.

Richard is married with two kids and enjoys reading, CrossFit, and spending time with his family. He prefers doing all of the above from his favorite place — Telluride, Colorado. He is also passionate about South Texas and the extreme poverty along the border. He spends time there each year doing service work and helping local ministers provide basic needs like food, school supplies, and beds to the children in these communities.
