Nancy Washburn joined Hightower Signature Wealth (formerly known as Stearns Financial Group) in 2019. She holds a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and in 2020 Nancy obtained her Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP) designation. Nancy serves as the Lead Operations Support, performing a central leadership role in partnering with wealth advisors and service team professionals to ensure behind-the-scenes operations and client-facing interactions are handled with efficiency and care. As a trusted resource for operational excellence, she is known for her calm demeanor, deep process knowledge, and genuine commitment to helping both clients and colleagues succeed. From onboarding new relationship to managing ongoing account maintenance and cashiering requests, Nancy’s collaborative spirit, approachable style, and responsiveness consistently elevates the team’s service standards.

Nancy engages in a variety of volunteer activities including coordinating local fundraising efforts for Feeding America, donating food items for A Simple Gesture, and assembling children’s bikes via the Bikes for Kids Foundation. She supports Good Shepherd’s Fold, a Ugandan orphanage providing care to vulnerable children and for over 30 years has been a children’s sponsor with Compassion International, providing funds to feed, educate and provide medical care for impoverished children.

Outside of work, Nancy enjoys solving logic puzzles, listening to classical music, and swimming laps as a way to stay balanced. She treasures time spent with her husband and adult sons and is an avid reader of personal development books that inspire growth both personally and professionally.
