John A. Schmit serves as a portfolio manager at Hightower Signature Wealth, formerly known as Frontier. He brings more than 20 years of investment management experience to the practice and is one of three voting members of the practice’s investment committee.

Prior to joining Hightower Signature Wealth, John was a portfolio manager at Crestview Capital Partners from 2005 to 2008 and served as vice president of investments for RENN Capital Group Inc. from 1997 to 2004.

John is involved with several charitable organizations and is an active member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Texas Christian University in 1989, a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1992 and a Master of Laws in international and comparative law from Georgetown University Law Center in 1996.
