Ami Doshi serves as director of business development at Hightower Signature Wealth (formerly known as Frontier) in the Dallas office. She joined the practice in 2019 and brings 19 years of experience in the fixed income research industry as well as in philanthropic consulting, non-profit management, and business development. She is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy and is currently studying for the Certified Financial Planning Designation.

Ami brings to wealth planning her strong background in charitable planning. She has helped clients incorporate their core values and philanthropy into their financial planning process through vehicles such as donor-advised funds, private foundations, and nonprofits. Ami has held leadership roles with numerous nonprofits and understands the nuances that make charitable planning effective, impactful, and tax-efficient for both donors and nonprofits. She is also experienced in helping families manage the transition of wealth and values between generations, creating the frameworks and processes for meaningful family legacies.

Ami was born and raised in Singapore and speaks five languages, including Spanish and Hindi. She graduated from Columbia University, where she earned a graduate degree in economic and political development, with a focus on microfinance. She is an advocate for the rights of women and is passionate about providing them with access to opportunity and the ability to live with dignity through self-sufficiency. Ami runs a nonprofit called Opportunity Plus, whose mission is to promote financial literacy and access to affordable microloans to low-income women entrepreneurs in Dallas and India. Ami also serves on the Board of Trustees at the Parish Episcopal School of Dallas. She met her husband in New York City before moving with him to his home state of Texas. They have two children and a sweet dog. They love to travel, watch movies, and try out new cuisines together.
